Marrón
The Background
Marrón is the creative studio I built with a group of frequent co-conspirators to explore culture, identity, and storytelling outside the constraints of brand work. It started as a personal outlet and evolved into a full creative practice that blends art direction, photography, editorial work, and cultural documentation.
The studio’s work comes from my perspective as a first-generation Ugandan raised in Southern California. My influences are rooted in the things I grew up studying: literature, architecture, street culture, faith, fashion, and music. Marrón is where all of those pieces come together.

Marrón influences how I lead creative and strategy teams. I bring the same focus on craft, culture, and humanity into brand work. It shapes how I direct talent, build stories, define aesthetics, and ensure every project has emotional truth behind it
I drive the creative direction, photography, narrative structure, talent selection, styling, editing, and production for all Marrón projects.
